Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Renewable Advisory Due Diligence Consultant to join our Advisory team in Portugal. The aim of this position is to develop the Portuguese Advisory office by providing technical and commercial expertise and developing the Portuguese business. This Advisor will have a central role in carrying out the company's technical audits, particularly in PV, BESS or Wind Energy, and will be responsible for growing the company's network and potentially heading up a dedicated team. Mastery of the tools needed to carry out audits is necessary to enable growth in this field of expertise.
The position will be remote working for a candidate based in Portugal; Greensolver offices are available in Porto and can be used; the choice will be made by the candidate.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out technical due diligence on solar, energy storage and wind projects, including project management, client relations, deliverability studies or reviews of the various project contracts, and the technical expertise required to produce the reports.
- Carrying out
- and
- construction energy deliverability studies, including analyses and reviews of the resource, lifetime assessment, energy deliverability, installed capacity, plants configuration and site selection for proposed projects, particularly for new markets. - Reviewing the design and equipment of existing or future plants.
- Communicating with manufacturers regarding technological options and the appropriateness of the choice of such equipment.
- Analysing and reporting on site measurements, including mast, SODAR, LIDAR, pyranometer and production data.
- Producing bankable wind deposit and deliverable reports with the highest possible accuracy, delivered in accordance with mission deadlines.
- Reviewing and providing analysis of
- party reports. - Reviewing data, deliverability reports and site condition reports for potential project acquisitions.
- Reviewing the performance of projects in operation.
- Improving Greensolver's network through participation in commercial and technical fairs (domestic and international).
- Organizing and participating in business meetings with potential partners/clients.
- Managing the Key Account of the company's main customers and helping to expand the network.
- Managing the relationship with internal sales and supporting in the drafting of offers.
- Actively interacting with the Sales teams in the commercial development of Greensolver.
- Supporting the Asset Management, Finance and PPA teams expansion within the country.
- Reviewing and analysing
- party reports, contracts and environmental constraints of parks as part of technical audits. - Examining data, energy production reports and reports on site conditions as part of acquisitions or sales.
- Optimizing existing tools.
- Reviewing
- related contracts (EPC, O&M, network connection contracts, PPA, etc. ) is a plus. - Participating in due diligence processes, internal and external meetings.
Qualifications / Experience
- 5 years in a similar position (technical consultancy, PV or BESS deliverability analysis, preferably in a variety of markets).
- Experience in PV resource analysis and project design essential; BESS or Wind experience an advantage.
- A strong existing network in the Renewables industry would be a plus.
- Experience in operational PV, BESS or wind farm analysis is an advantage.
- Experience in advising lenders, OEM suppliers, developers or operators of projects.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills, strong mathematical and analytical background and the ability to communicate technical issues to
- technical colleagues. - Highly analytical with attention to detail and ability to exercise engineering judgement.
- Software programming/development experience is an advantage.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
- Experience in the use of major industry software (WAs
P, Wind
PRO, PVsyst or other software) for assessing future generation resources is an advantage. - Experience in examining financial models (examining technical assumptions) would be highly appreciated.
- Fluency in English and French; basic knowledge of Portuguese.
- Other languages such as Spanish is a plus.
- Graduate with a master's degree in physical sciences or engineering.
- Driving licence.
Location: Portugal (remote)
Salary: Depending on experience, with variable bonus based on individual objectives. 25 days annual leave plus public holidays.
