About the role

• Our VAT Service Unit team, composed of 4 people, is integrated in the Finance department and focuses on VAT and Indirect tax topics.
• As a VAT and Intrastat Specialist, you will work in a multinational environment and you will get the opportunity to contribute to the compliance of Solvay Group.
• You will be accountable for:
  • Managing VAT corrections
  • Check VAT invoice requirements;
  • Support on the preparation and filing of VAT, Intrastat returns and EC-Sales Lists (Europe);
  • Support on VAT audits (internal and external)
  • Support on the reconciliation of VAT accounts
• We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.

About you

• Relevant education degree or equivalent in Accounting, Tax, Economics, Finance Tax Specialization, or equivalent.
• Relevant work experience in VAT or Tax processes.
• Fluency in English (any other language would be a plus)
• SAP knowledge (would be a plus)

About the pay and benefits

• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Portugal base pay reasonably expected for this role is 1200 EUR to 1500 EUR, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
