In partnership with one of our clients, a leading German automotive company, Randstad is recruiting for a Transition Manager position.

Their newly established Global Business Services (GBS) unit is dedicated to optimizing and streamlining end business processes across finance, human resources, sales support, and procurement. With delivery centers spanning multiple locations worldwide, they focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Planning:
- Develop detailed project and resource plans for the initial setup of the GBS center and future scope extensions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management plan to mitigate potential roadblocks.
- Collaborate with department leads to ensure alignment of the GBS center's growth with business objectives.
- Manage and steer the transition manager team, allocating resources in line with the transition plan to meet the overall transition timeline.
- Execute transition strategies, ensuring smooth integration of new processes and effective change management.
- Monitor and address potential resistance or challenges to change across departments.
- Ensure all new processes and systems meet quality and compliance standards during the transition.
- Collaborate with other PMO offices (e. g. , in Poznan, Pune, HQ) for a streamlined approach and knowledge exchange.
- Prepare regular status reports and updates on transition progress, risks, and performance for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Create transparent communication pathways to share
- time updates with relevant stakeholders. - Regularly review and update project documentation, ensuring it is aligned with ongoing transitions.
- Establish and maintain regular communication and feedback loops between headquarters and GBS centers to ensure alignment.
- Serve as the point of contact between
- functional teams to address issues and share best practices.
- Coordinate with HR and department leads to develop training programs for new hires transitioning into the GBS.
- Oversee the creation of onboarding materials and process documentation to ensure new employees are equipped to succeed.
- Lead workshops and training sessions on new systems, tools, and processes for teams undergoing transitions.
What we are looking for:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, change management, or transitioning functions within a GBS or shared services environment.
- Proven experience in managing
- scale transitions, including setup and process migrations; experience in an international environment is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong project management skills, including resource planning, timeline management, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent change management and transition planning abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across different departments and geographies.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e. g. , MS Project, Jira) and collaboration platforms.
- Certification in Project Management Principles or Lean/Agile is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Language proficiency: English (B2); knowledge of German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required for transition activities.
