Job Description

You will be part of a new team in MN RAN R&D BBSo
C Unit responsible for contributing to domain specific testing work to meet the expected Definition of Done for Cloud RAN applications.

We are looking for a seasoned and skilled Test Engineer. You would be working on
- specific feasibility studies, technical analysis, and feature specification work covering all functional and
- functional aspects and requirements. You also support our program planning and agile activities in the team. You are also expected to participate and be involved in other technical areas such as the
- source community in the whole BBSo
C RCP Platform product suite.

BBSo
C RCP Platform is responsible for:

• Innovating, developing, productizing, delivering & maintaining the best platform services for Cloud RAN products to achieve a clear leadership position in Radio Cloud Platforms and Applications
• Successful execution of Cloud RAN Programs
• Leverage
  - source communities and integrate with
  - edge cloud platforms (OCP, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc) to achieve technology leadership
• Achieve Business targets for Cloud RAN products and solutions

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

As a Test Engineer in new RCP team, your role would include:

• Own test strategy of a test domain/product/system, including testability, logging strategy, etc.
• Contribute to Test Guild and e2e Product Test Strategy creation
• Contribute to transformation activities (B2B, BIT etc. )
• Continuous optimization of regression test scope and cycle for the test domain
• Continuous optimization and modernization of test domain’s test environments (HW and configuration)
• Contribute to the evolution of test tools, simulators, and automation frameworks for the test domain
• Verification of technical interface for test domain towards Lead Test Engineer, A&S, Pd
  M, Product Owner for feature screening (FS1TA/FS2), Feature Test Planners & Feature Test Lead nomination, CNI test impact analysis
• Support feature screening and specification work for selected features
• Support test plans creation and feature test strategy creation
• Ensure quality of test cases in CI
• Act as a decision maker if there is ambiguity concerning test scope/interpretation of test results
• Support regression test scope and
  - hunting sessions
• Drive Quality improvement actions (Light EDA, RCA/EDA Analysis and NCDR Analysis)
• Process analysis and adjustments if needed
• Define and maintain the common Test Automation Solution Engineering, Strategy, and its Roadmap for the Product on Department/DU level
• Follow
  - ,
  - , Dev
  Ops strategy, and relevant rules and
  - operate with respective stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, guidance, training, and mentoring to implement test automation across Departments and Teams contributing to the Product
• Lead and cooperate with the different automation development stakeholders across the MN organization in specification, implementation, and maintenance areas
• Ensure that the common test automation framework is fully integrated as part of the Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline

Key Skills And Experience

• You are experienced in system and element requirements analysis, solution Engineering, and solution design and be familiar with the corresponding process
• You are proactive and independent and have great communication skills that allow you to feel comfortable in a team and motivate colleagues
• You enjoy learning and continuous improvement
• Previous experience in Engineering or SW Testing is valued
• You have demonstrated industry experience in the areas of Engineering or software development
• You understand the significance of good SW practices for
  - quality SW
• You know the benefits of agile SW development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices
• You have strong experience either in C++, Golang, or Python, in development and especially in testing work
• Experience with LINUX - Experience in scripting/coding with one or more languages (such as Python, Golang, …)
• Knowledge of processor architecture, embedded systems, and
  - time systems
• Understanding of the cloud runtime environments and bare metal runtime environments of embedded systems
• Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)
  - native characteristics, including Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure software (such as Red
  Hat, AWS, AZURE, GCP, . . . )
