The “Hardware Engineer” is mandated to design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems in compliance with the project’s test specifications and Synopsys’ test methodologies.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of test tasks, incorporating Test Specification Generation, Setup Preparation, Board Design, IC Characterization, Documentation, and Prototype Evaluation and Characterization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform testing on silicon implementations of
  - speed analog integrated circuits;
• Review results and debug silicon under test, along with hardware support;
• Run characterization tests and create test reports;
• Apply theoretical knowledge to investigate and explain circuit behavior and limitations in a testing and characterization environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or Applied Science (or equivalent) with at least 1-2 years of working experience in a related field;
• Basic knowledge of Analog IC circuits;
• Basic debugging skills;
• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers);
• Software programming experience (MATLAB, Python preferred);
• Basic knowledge of FPGA programming (Verilog);
• Knowledge of NRZ and PAM4 encoding;
• Familiarity with Board Design;
• Familiarity with UNIX operating systems;
• Good English communication skills.
