Job Title: Technical Lead

Location: Hybrid working, home & BCA Coimbra (monthly visits)

Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Meal Voucher

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours

The Constellation Technology Team provides a
- wide set of Technology Products and Services across the Constellation Automotive Group. We are a central function working across the following domains: Technology Operations, Cyber Security, Product, Engineering, Enterprise Applications, Logistics, Architecture and Portfolio; across the UK and Europe.

- new tech hub in Coimbra, where you will have a unique opportunity to influence the development and culture of this innovative hub.

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development of
- quality web/mobile applications. You will lead a team of full stack software engineers and work closely with Product, Engineering and Design teams to create innovative web/mobile solutions that meet our customers’ needs.

Role Accountabilities:

1. Guiding a team of talented engineers with a mix of encouragement, innovation, and collaboration. You’re not just overseeing; you’re inspiring a team of passionate people, fostering a space where future leaders are molded.
2. Ensuring continuous delivery of value to users through efficient development practices and
   - coordinated releases.
3. Collaborating closely with Design and Product teams to implement visually compelling and intuitive interfaces.
4. Aligning the team's work with the product vision and strategic goals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
5. Handling line management duties, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations by setting clear goals and expectations.
6. Driving improvements of engineering practices within the team to enhance efficiency, code quality, and user experience. Ensure code quality and maintainability by conducting code reviews, writing tests, and documenting work.
7. Staying abreast of the latest development trends and best practices and providing technical leadership to the team.

Knowledge:

1. Has a proven track record in web/mobile application development, cloud solutions, and understands the nuances of
   - oriented and
   - driven architectures.
2. Strong proficiency in AWS, Serverless, Type
   Script, Node. js, React and React Native or similar platforms/paradigms/ languages/frameworks.
3. Demonstrable Dev
   Ops mindset having taken accountability for the entire lifecycle of a product.
4. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices, such as Scrum or Kanban.
5. Experience with various forms of automated testing, coupled with a strong understanding of TDD/BDD concepts.
6. Experience in people management, including hiring, training, and performance management.
7. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
8. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
9. Capable
   - solver with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with various stakeholders and to communicate technical information clearly.

Relationships:

1. Engineers: Leading and collaborating with a team of full stack engineers to build
   - friendly,
   - performance apps.
2. UX/UI Designers: Partnering closely with UX/UI designers to ensure implemented interfaces match designs and provide an optimal user experience.
3. Product Owners: Working closely with product owners to align the team's work with product vision and strategic goals.
4. Heads of Product: Coordinating with heads of product to ensure the development efforts align with their expectations and contribute to the overall product strategy.
5. Engineering Management: Collaborating with engineering management to facilitate efficient organisational communication and collaboration and drive continuous improvement of engineering practices.
6. Contributing to the hybrid work culture, balancing remote and
   - office work while fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
