We are searching for an Accountant for our Porto Office preferably with experience in a fast growth environment. Our goal is to build the best Finance team in healthcare.

What you will be doing:

1. Ensure recording, monitoring and reporting general and technical accounting activity according to the Group Policies;
2. Support the
   - end and
   - end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations;
3. Be familiar with core accounting sections including: leases,
   - company transactions, fixed assets, capitalized software;
4. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement;
5. Perform timely reconciliations for key accounts on a monthly basis;
6. Provide administrative support to the finance and accounting team, such as filing, organizing documents, and responding to inquiries;
7. Collaborate with
   - functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and achieve organizational objectives;
8. Play an integral role in the development, implementation and maintenance of the financial accounting systems;
9. Provide meaningful, accurate and timely financial information and reports as requested;
10. Participate in the interim and annual audits for the Group;
11. Stay current on accounting principles, standards, and regulations, ensuring compliance with evolving requirements;
12. Perform other accounting and controller duties and support junior staff as required or assigned.

What you need to have:

1. University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or any related field;
2. Experience with
   - end/year-end close processes in complex
   - national and
   - currency frameworks;
3. Comfort with Finance and Accounting principles (local GAAP, US/IFRS will be a plus) and good financial statement analysis ability;
4. Excellent Excel skills and experience with a complex ERP (Net
   Suite a plus);
5. Independent handling of a variety of tasks with different levels of complexity and organizing work efficiently;
6. Good communication skills, able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
7. Endurance and flexibility when facing problems;
8. Taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, including
   - study/research needed to execute the same;
9. Very high attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement;
10. Working experience of +4 years;
11. Fluent in English (written and spoken);
12. Ability to work with little or no supervision;
13. Curious, enthusiastic, proactive, strong team player.
