Team Lead Fullstack Java Developer – Payments and Services

Lead a team of engineers responsible for Building, Scaling, and maintaining a set of exciting applications for one of the European Leaders in Payment Services

This is a hybrid role, flexible 2x office in Lisbon and 3x home per week.

As a Team Lead Fullstack Developer, you will be working for our Client – one of the European Leaders in Payment Services processing more than 11 billion transactions processed worldwide. You lead a team of 4 developers that will be a part of an environment where development cooperates with maintenance, and IT is close to the business.

Your main responsibilities include:

1. Develop and maintain 4 core applications.
2. Designing technical assumptions for the implementation of development changes in the system.
3. Implementing changes in the functionality of the system following the design, standards and IT practices.
4. Reviewing the code provided by other developers.
5. Diagnosing, analysing and removing programming errors.
6. Providing programming support during the implementation.
7. Optimising efficiency of implemented solutions.
8. Understanding functional specifications.
9. Conducting functional analysis.
10. Writing technical specifications.
11. Analysing incidents/anomalies.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

1. At least 5 years of experience as a Java developer.
2. Team-leading experience with teams bigger than 4+ members.
3. Strong programming skills in Java 8+ using Spring, Spring
   Boot and Hibernate.
4. Experience with Angular 8+ and Type
   Script.
5. Good knowledge of system integration using REST, SOAP.
6. Experience in working with Kafka.
7. Experience with Docker, Jenkins or Git.
8. Experience with Apache Tom
   Cat.
9. Knowledge of the principles of
   - oriented programming and design patterns.
10. Familiarity with Service
    Now.
11. Work experience in Agile (Scrum is a plus).
12. Fluent in English and French (B1/B2).
