Job Description Summary
Responsible for managing the organization's tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities. Preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Report to the financial supervisor and collaborate with various departments to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit federal, state, and local tax returns in an accurate and timely manner.
- Conduct
- depth tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations. - Analyse financial statements and other documents to identify potential tax issues and opportunities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
- Respond to
- related inquiries and communicate with tax authorities when necessary. - Keep detailed and accurate tax and accounting records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing
- related information and documentation. - Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
- Manage and coordinate the type of movements in each of the general ledger accounts.
- Monitor the status of the general ledger accounts and ensure proper support for the movements made.
- Provide monthly reconciliations.
- Provide guidance and training to other team members on tax matters.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field required. Master’s degree highly desired.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience in Accounting.
- Experience in the automotive industry or related field preferred.
- Good Knowledge of SAP ERP Systems.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards, such as US GAAP and SOX, will be considered a plus.
- Must have

- level software skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power
Point). - Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills required.
- Good English language skills (spoken and written).
- Proficiency level in Portuguese (spoken and written).
