Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer with expertise in Windows environments, Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, securing, and transforming our organization's AD and Entra ID infrastructure. This role requires a strong background in Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory management, and a proactive approach to system automation, optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

This professional will be responsible for designing and implementing best practices that meet business requirements to provide a secure and predictable environment. They will also be responsible for the evolution of the AD/Entra ID environment providing new features and potential optimizations that help pilot current and new processes to operational excellence. This candidate will also be working on an ongoing project migrating the
- prem Active Directory environment to Azure cloud services.

The ideal candidate must be a good communicator and a team player. They will need to interact with various teams from both business and technical areas.

- day job - Operate Windows services:

1. Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems. Implement best practices, monitor system performance, and ensure optimal server functionality. Implement and manage server roles, features, and services with a focus on automation.
2. Active Directory Management: Design, deploy, and manage Active Directory infrastructure with help and guidance of business and technical teams. Help our End Users team with the creation and management of user accounts, groups, and permissions with a focus on automating as much of the manual process as possible. Implement and maintain Group Policies for security and compliance on servers. Work to evolve the Active Directory environment with a focus on migrating to Entra ID.
3. Infrastructure Optimization: Identify opportunities for system and network optimization. Proactively address performance and scalability issues. Automation of repetitive processes.
4. Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Windows Servers and Active Directory. Automate regular system backups and ensure data integrity.
5. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for
   - related issues. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex problems.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and

   - date documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies. Create user guides and documentation for common troubleshooting scenarios.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Fluency in English
• Engineer Experience in infrastructure (Windows and Active Directory mandatory)
• Public Cloud skills & experience (Azure mandatory)
• Natural team player and a good communicator

Preferred factors:

• Higher education in Computer Engineering or similar
• Experience with Windows DNS, PKI
• Experience with Vmware
• Experience with Kazeya (or other cyber security platforms)
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience using GIT
