About The Team

We are a group of around 140 Engineers responsible for Cloudflare’s
- growing security product portfolio (currently WAF, Page Shield, Bot detection, API Shield and DDo
S protection). You’ll be working with custom components that have been created in an
- driven and pragmatic way - our code is
- tested and documented and uses modern ecosystems like Go and Rust.

About You

You’re a
- performing Engineer in cyber security with at least 3 years of professional experience working
- on as a software developer. You have experience working with threat detection.

What You’ll Do

1. Design systems and write code following bleeding edge industry best practices.
2. Review RFCs, technical specifications and code.
3. Deploy and maintain live
   - based services at scale (up to 100m requests / second, 1m customers).
4. Support and grow other Engineers through knowledge sharing.
5. Keep up to date with trends in detecting current and emerging security risks to web applications.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Skilled
   - on writing lean and effective code according to modern best practices.
2. Experience of cyber security and in particular detecting emerging threats (e. g. OWASP Top Ten).
3. Experience with threat detection based on Machine Learning is a bonus.

This role may require flexibility to be
- call outside of standard working hours to address technical issues as needed.
