We’re looking for a System Engineer

As a System Engineer, you join a squad of talented engineers and support them with the technical implementation of Data
Miner projects for our users. You are a contact for the users on all technical matters, enabling smooth collaboration between them and the different departments within Skyline.

1. You will acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of all Data
   Miner features.
2. You will help build key solutions which are globally recognized and used.
3. You will become a customer’s contact for technical matters related to your projects.
4. You will have to fully understand all aspects related to the functional and technical specifications of your projects.
5. You guarantee the efficient implementation of all technical aspects of the projects.
6. You will troubleshoot all technical solution issues that affect project delivery.
7. You will perform quality assurance from a functional perspective on all technical features in your projects.
8. You will create and maintain all required project documentation for acceptance,
   - over, and internal presentation procedures.
9. You will help to collect user stories of the customer and where required start discussions with other teams/departments.

What skills do you require?

1. Experience with markup languages (XML).
2. Knowledge of communication protocols in general, such as SNMP, HTTP, or serial.
3. Knowledge of databasing (e. g. , Apache Cassandra, Elasticsearch).
4. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, multithreading, Web Services (REST, SOAP), and JSON is a definite plus.
5. Knowledge of C# is a plus.
6. Interest in the telecom and broadcast industry (e. g. , HFC broadband, IPTV, broadcast, cable, satellite systems…).
