Job Description:

Open Cascade, part of Capgemini Engineering, is an
- source software platform for 3D geometric modeling and processing. It provides tools for creating, modifying, and visualizing 3D models, along with capabilities for mesh handling and boolean operations. Open Cascade is focused on the digital transformation of industries through the use of the latest technologies and services.

Your Mission

We are currently recruiting a System Architect to join our Portugal based team.

Your role:

1. Responsible for providing architecture and design for complex products.
2. Represents the company with new prospects on providing advice and guidance on implementation for projects.
3. Provides the engineering expert and focal point for at least one of Open
   Cascade's technical disciplines.
4. Maintains the
   - level expertise in the chosen technical disciplines.
5. Demonstrates clear evidence of thought leadership in the market.
6. Performs education and mentoring sessions with customers on chosen technical disciplines.
7. Works on projects with developers and/or participates in acceptance testing together with customers to ensure that architecture matches customers' needs.
8. Focuses on developing
   - term partnerships with internal/external clients.
9. Takes full responsibility for outcomes. Has a strong understanding of contractual, financial, and technical considerations.

Your Profile

1. 10+ years experience in Software Development.
2. 1+ years of experience in architect roles.
3. 3+ years of experience in roles like Tech Lead.
4. Good understanding of software development lifecycle and development processes.
5. Deep technical knowledge (with
   - on background) in at least 2 of the following technologies: C++, Java, Typescript/Angular, AI.
6. Significant experience of designing and implementing complex customer solutions taking into account its operations and maintainability after deploying into production.
7. Proven experience of building architecture for a new system or module, or refactoring existing, with guiding development teams until final results.
8. Experience of accurate estimation of complex features or whole projects.
9. Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills in English.
10. Strong collaboration skills including coaching and motivating other stakeholders and developers.
11. Experience developing technical documentation (including system modeling using UML).
