We are looking for an SQL Database Administrator!

Responsibilities:

1. Database Migration Planning: Collaborate with customers to understand requirements, analyze existing database environments, and develop comprehensive migration strategies.
2. Migration Execution: Perform data migration tasks, including schema conversion, data transformation, and data loading. Ensure seamless migration with minimal disruption to operations.
3. Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance before, during, and after the migration. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
4. Backup and Recovery: Implement robust backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data during migration. Conduct
   - migration validation to ensure data integrity.
5. Database Upgrades: Plan and execute database upgrades as part of the migration process, ensuring compatibility and stability of applications.

Requirements:

1. Professional experience as Database Administrator.
2. Experience and knowledge of different SQL Server versions.
3. Knowledge of tools such as Ola Hallengren.
4. Understanding of index management: reorganize versus rebuild indexes, statistics and update statistics, backup/restore possibilities within SQL Server.
5. Familiarity with recovery model of a database and the impact on backups and log files.
6. Knowledge of system databases and their purposes.
7. Understanding of SQL Agent: how it works, how to configure it, and its possibilities.
8. Basic knowledge of
   - availability solutions such as clustering, Always On, mirroring, and log shipping.
9. SQL development skills: T-SQL, stored procedures, scalar/table valued functions, error handling, common table expressions, INNER versus OUTER JOIN versus CROSS JOIN, CROSS/OUTER APPLY, transactions (commit and rollback, nested transactions), foreign keys, unique index versus primary key, data types and their importance.
10. Knowledge of certificates and signed objects for security.
11. Understanding of indexes: clustered,
    - clustered, covered index, filtered index.
12. Familiarity with
    - memory OLTP: tables and native stored procedures and functions.
13. Knowledge of indexed views: pros and cons.
14. Ability to analyze execution plans and query store.
15. Good level of English.
