Vestas Technology & Operations> Research & Development (R&D)> Tower Structure

The Tower Structure Onshore department plays a crucial role in the wind industry by designing innovative and reliable tower structures for both steel and concrete tower technologies. We are a multidisciplinary team made up of professionals from diverse backgrounds, each bringing a unique set of skills and expertise. Our work is at the intersection of engineering growth and sustainability, contributing to the development of the next generation of wind power solutions. Responsibilities

1. Supervise the development and maintenance of tower design guidelines in compliance with EU, IEC, and DIBt standards
2. Coordinate the transition to updated certification guidelines, ensuring alignment across internal teams and external certification bodies
3. Support communication and training for the implementation of new technical updates
4. Oversee the tower recertification process, ensuring compliance with updated standards
5. Represent the company in standard committees, influencing industry standards and practices

Qualifications

1. Master's degree in Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
2. Years of experience in the wind turbine industry or a similar sector, with a focus on tower design
3. 5 years of experience with EU, IEC, and DIBt certification standards and guidelines related to tower design
4. 2 years of experience with standard committee participation or similar industry engagement
5. Significant background in technical communication
6. Proven leadership skills with the ability to promote initiatives and influence others without direct authority
7. Technical information management, ensuring transparency and empowering teams with necessary knowledge
8. Enhanced communication skills for engaging with both technical teams and external certification bodies
9. Good organizational and
   - solving skills, managing multiple projects and priorities in a complex environment
10. Ability to coordinate change and support processes in line with evolving certification standards
