Tasks

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
• Oversee the kitchen staff to ensure excellent culinary standards are maintained.
• Innovate and update the menu to reflect authentic Portuguese flavors while incorporating modern twists.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the restaurant's high standards.
• Manage inventory and order supplies efficiently to maintain optimal stock levels.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or Portuguese bistro establishment.
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in Portuguese cuisine, with a passion for maintaining its authenticity and traditions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse culinary team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Portuguese is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, cost management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
