We are looking for a Sous Chef for our new opening of a Pan-Asian restaurant fine dining, ATTIKO in Lisboa, who will update the Head Chef about the daily kitchen activities and the team, as well as ensure the preparation and presentation of food is in line with company standards and brand requirements.

Main responsibilities

1. Assists the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen and replaces him during vacations and leaves, taking care of the kitchen’s overall activities.
2. Ensures accuracy and quality of received food products and other supplies as required for daily operations.
3. Ensures submission of all relevant documents to Head Chef for immediate processing.
4. Inspects products quality during and after preparation, and makes adjustments as required.
5. Assists Head Chef in inspecting all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
6. Meets customer requirements in terms of special requests and dietary needs.
7. Monitors daily attendance of kitchen staff and arranges production planning smoothly.
8. Ensures that Health and Safety regulations are in place and followed by the employees.

Qualifications

1. Culinary Arts Diploma or similar degree.
2. Minimum 2 years as Sous Chef/Junior Sous Chef in similar concepts.
3. Fluent in Portuguese and good communication skills in English.
4. Excellent knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and Sanitation.
5. Ability to maintain high quality control standards.
6. Highly cooperative team spirit.
7. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead by example in a multicultural environment.
8. Problem-solving skills.
