About the role:

We are looking for a Sommelier to join our amazing Team in CURA Restaurant in Lisbon!

What you will do:

1. Describe the selection of beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods.
2. Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests using the hotel’s
   -
   - sales system and check completed orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner.
3. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions; respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
4. Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
5. Breakdown, clean and
   - up of tables and drink stations.
6. Work harmoniously and professionally with
   - workers and supervisors.

What you bring:

1. High school education, college degree specializing in hospitality, or equivalent experience.
2. Strong food & beverage knowledge is required.
3. Attention to detail and
   - solving skills.
4. Passion for service.
5. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
6. The candidate must hold the required authorization to work in a European country.
7. Reading, writing and oral proficiency both in Portuguese and English.
