Who are you?

We are looking for a motivated Engineering Manager to join our IT team based in Lisbon. This role will report to one of our Director of Application Engineering, Europe, and will play a pivotal role in our organization.

The Engineering Manager will lead and inspire a team of engineers, driving the execution of engineering strategies and initiatives. This role involves coaching and mentoring team members, ensuring the successful integration of technical solutions, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

In this role, you will:

• Coach and mentor individuals to grow and develop skills.
• Collaborate with technical experts in the team to identify and prioritize enhancements in line with business needs.
• Translate and communicate technical concepts and solutions to different stakeholders.
• Ensure the integration of solutions with existing or new services and applications.
• Organize all team ceremonies as Scrum Master, including retrospectives, planning, and following up on improvement actions.
• Resolve impediments for the team.
• Facilitate daily meetings, refinement meetings including estimations, and planning meetings.
• Execute the Engineering Strategy and other
  - team initiatives.
• Update the technical roadmap accordingly and provide input on the evolution of the strategy.
• Work with Engineering Managers from different teams to align.

What can you bring to the table?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (typically 4 years).
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in engineering management or a related field.
• Ability to lead large initiatives spanning multiple teams with high complexity.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Experience with software development lifecycle and project management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• High levels of professionalism, interpersonal skills, and personal drive.
• Team player: ability to work on a team in a collaborative environment, sharing information and best practices.
• Fluent in English. Other languages are an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 365.
