Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Understand business and technical context, requirements, constraints, and business objectives.
2. Be able to explain and communicate technical options.
3. Follow defined development methodologies and tools.
4. Interpret business requirements and technical specifications.
5. Investigate, analyse, document, and track status of reported defects using standard tools.
6. Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
7. Create and maintain technical documentation.
8. Help to define and validate functional and technical specifications.
9. Additional related activities as identified and required.

PROFILE

1. Experience:
2. 5 years’ experience in a similar domain.
3. Strong and confirmed experience in Java development.
4. Strong technical background in
   - related technologies including open source, J2E, and ability to discover new ones. Pragmatic and not dogmatic.
5. Experience of the full software development lifecycle: from requirements gathering and functional specification to development, testing, and delivery.
6. Education:
7. Engineer degree preferred in an IT-related field.
8. Solid professional references.
9. Technical competencies:
10. Excellent knowledge of Java 17, 21 & associated technology stack.
11. Advanced knowledge of Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA / Hibernate, Spring Cloud.
12. Web formats and protocols: JSON, XML, SOAP, WSDL, REST, etc.
13. Microservice / distributed system and Event Driven architectures (AMQP, JMS, Pub/Sub).
14. Experience working with RDBMS (My
    Sql) and No
    SQL databases (Mongo
    DB).
15. At ease with development tools and processes like Maven, Git, Intelli
    J.
16. Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing.
17. Agile methodologies.
18. Technical knowledge and experience with
    - Commerce processes and solutions.
19. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is an asset.
20. Personal qualities:
21. Good communication skills, with high attention to detail.
22. Fluent in English; French and other languages are a plus.
23. Ability to communicate with people from the business and technical fields.
