Job Description:

Squarespace is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our small, distributed web engineering team and work on our Bio Sites offering. Bio Sites is Squarespace's link in biography product that enables creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses to share their entire worlds in just one link. As more brands begin on social media, a Bio Site is a lightweight way for our customers to connect their followers to their company, grow their brand, and monetize their work.

Our web team collaborates across disciplines and delivers a terrific experience for Bio Site users on the web, be it mobile or on their desktop. You will work on the
-
- end development of the web application and the
- term vision of Squarespace for Bio Sites.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and be based in Aveiro, Portugal, with 3 flexible days per week spent in office.

You'll Get To…

• Design and build new features into the Bio Sites web interface
• Take a lead role with other engineers and designers to provide
  - focused experiences
• Keep our product updated with the latest frontend technologies such as React and ES2016+
• Practice disciplined software engineering (e. g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code)
• Contribute to team and company standards

Who We're Looking For

• Have knowledge of the DOM, new HTML5 constructs, and CSS3
• Have experience with Single Page Application development
• Keep

  - date with newest technologies
• Develop features and create fulfilling user experiences
• An understanding of, and practice experience with, web application development
• BS in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years of experience
