We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer based in Portugal.
About This Role:
As a Software Engineer you’ll be a member of the group of teams responsible for developing the next generation of capabilities of one of our platform components.
If you are a problem solver, inquisitive by nature and driven by curiosity, this is the job for you!
Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Designing and developing solutions with the team, by following development processes (like TDD, BDD, code reviews. . . );
- Optimizing the performance of the platform component you’ll work on;
- Produce and test code in short cycles, with a high degree of automation;
- Gather feedback from
- users and adapt your solutions; - Focus on developing maintainable solutions that scale to thousands of users;
- Last-line troubleshoot of complex incidents created by the solutions developed in your team, having
- call support rotation; - Knowledge of product development best practices, continuous delivery, and testing;
- Experience in designing and communicating
- level functional designs and solutions.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar. If you do not have one but you are really good (and can show it), we still want to hear from you;
- 2+ years of software development experience;
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and Object-Oriented Design;
- Passion to analyze and design elegant solutions for
- tech problems; - Great troubleshooting skills;
- Availability be part of the 24x7
- call rotation; - Passionate about learning and helping others find their way in complex subjects;
- Drive to innovate and bring development best practices into your team;
- Drive to understand what are the upcoming technologies and frameworks;
- Good communication skills and fluency in English;
- Continuous delivery and testing techniques (valued);
- Excellent coding skills in C# (. Net Core) is a plus;
- Knowledge of Relational &
- relational databases is a plus; - Knowledge of cloud systems (e. g. AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) is a plus.
