About the Role

Join our dynamic team in the payment fraud group as a Junior Backend Developer, where you’ll contribute to building impactful Fin
Tech products in a rapidly expanding department. In this role, you’ll thrive in an Agile environment, utilizing
- edge technologies to develop and optimize scalable systems. You’ll play an essential role in enhancing our ecosystem, collaborating with internal teams to deliver results that make a daily difference in our operations.

We believe in empowering developers to take full ownership of their work. As a Junior Backend Developer, you’ll be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle—from collaborating with Product and Design teams during the planning phase to selecting the most suitable technologies, designing code and architecture, reviewing pull requests, and deploying within a CI/CD setup. Post-deployment monitoring and troubleshooting will also be part of your learning journey.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain scalable backend architectures that support applied machine learning platforms and other
  - driven systems.
• Build and optimize
  - time and batch processing systems using typed functional programming languages such as Scala or Java.
• Collaborate with team members to design, implement, and maintain backend components in
  - based environments.
• Participate in daily code reviews, testing, and deployments, contributing to a reliable CI/CD pipeline.
• Work closely with senior engineers to enhance system performance and ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of
  - on backend development experience, specifically with typed functional programming languages (e. g. , Scala, Java).
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and no
  SQL).
• Familiarity with distributed systems and stream processing technologies (e. g. , Apache Kafka, Spark) is a plus.
• Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, combining remote (Zoom) and
  - person collaboration.
• A proactive team player with a
  - solving mindset and willingness to learn from feedback.
