We’re looking for a passionate Backend Engineer to build and maintain the robust, scalable systems that power our equity platform. What you’ll do

• Build & Innovate: Architect, develop, and maintain the backend systems that drive our equity platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate: Work
  -
  - hand with product,
  - end ninja's, and wider development team to translate complex business requirements into robust backend solutions.
• Design APIs: Create and enhance Graph
  QL APIs that power our
  - end interfaces, ensuring seamless data flow and user experience.
• Scale & Optimize: Continuously monitor, optimize, and scale our systems to support a rapidly growing user base.
• Own & Evolve: Take responsibility for key backend components, contributing to the technology roadmap, interest in LLMs/MLand championing best practices across the team.

Must haves

• 10+ years of backend development experience in
  - driven companies (startup experience is a bonus).
• Expertise in Python and Django for building modern, scalable web applications.
• Solid experience with SQL databases—think data modelling, query optimisation, and efficient data handling.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Graph
  QL APIs.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, with a good grasp of deploying and scaling applications using Docker.
• A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and secure code, with an eye for performance.
• Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines is a big plus.
• Strong
  - solving skills and the ability to work independently within a distributed team.
