Now Developer
Purpose
The Service
Now Developer is primarily responsible for the development and administration of the client’s IT Service Management environment. They create complex system configurations, develop custom features and enhancements, and perform complex report and database query development based on customer requirements.
Responsibilities
The Service
Now Developer will own the development tasks of the solution based on the integration of Service
Now. The ideal candidate will understand configuration management principles and perform the necessary tasks to design and develop configurations and customizations on the Service
Now platform.
- Form & Field dictionary management - for example, new field addition or modification of existing fields.
- Form/view layout changes, related list addition/modifications.
- Add/modify ACL (considering future scope).
- Validation of ACL for troubleshooting.
- Create/update SLA definitions, schedules, and respective workflows.
- Creation or modification of the advanced transform map scripts, which are important for transferring data smoothly into Service
Now. - Advanced Import sets scripts.
- Create/modify Service Catalog and workflows.
- Create applications/modules and manage visibility.
- Manage application and forms linking & visibility.
- Build new workflows and customize Out of Box workflows for various applications including Service catalogue/fulfilment request, change management, problem management, service level agreements, including custom IT/non-IT applications.
- Manage and develop various
- side objects like Client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, UI scripts, email scripts;
- side objects like Business rules, Script includes, Workflow scripts, Schedule, notifications, dashboards, reports. - Advanced level of debugging to resolve issues related to scripts.
- Custom application development and enhancement.
Role Pre-Requisites
The candidate should have 1-2 years of
- on experience in development in ITSM tools including Service
Now. Expertise in application development, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/SCRUM, Agile, and an
- depth understanding of Cloud stack, specifically Service
Now, is required. Client-side programming/front-end development will be an added advantage.
