Senior Test Analyst

Responsibilities

1. Be an active part of the creation of teams, ensuring that they have the correct equipment and knowledge. This may include giving theoretical and practical training to the teams.
2. Establish and promote the QA good practices, ensuring the quality and efficiency of the procedures. This includes guideline documentation, checklists and standards that must be followed by all teams.
3. Define clear, efficient and homogeneous processes for test execution. The processes must ensure the consistency and traceability of the results.
4. Establish a training plan for the existing teams containing the tools, operational model, processes and tests. The plan must guarantee that all teams are aligned and prepared from the beginning of the project, with continuous training.
5. Identify the main constraints in the testing processes, with the objective of improving the current process, and propose optimization solutions.
6. Collaborate with the development and business teams to understand the system requirements and define encompassing test scenarios.
7. Validate the test results, making sure that they are aligned with the client’s expectations and provide detailed feedback to the development team, suggesting improvements and corrections when needed.
8. Implement a continuous improvement cycle, where processes, tools and practices are reviewed regularly and updated to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.

Skills

1. Degree in Informatics Engineering, Computer Science or similar areas.
2. ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL).
3. Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Analyst (CTAL-TA).
4. Minimum of 5 years work experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in leadership or coordination roles.
5. Experience across various types of projects (web, mobile, desktop, API’s, etc) and sectors (financial sector experience is a plus).
6. Comprehensive understanding of the testing lifecycle, from requirements analysis to defect execution and reporting.
7. Proficient in Agile and traditional methodologies (V-Model).
8. Clear and effective communication skills.
9. Proven ability to lead testing teams.
10. Skilled in identifying risks and proposing solutions to complex problems.
11. Well-organized to manage deadlines and priorities across multiple projects.
12. Fluent in English - written and spoken.
