About the role

As a Senior Technical Developer at Dremio, you will be joining a team of dedicated and passionate individuals guiding our Data Lakehouse customers to success. You will be responsible for developing both technical documentation (docs. dremio.com) and educational programming (university. dremio.com).

What you'll be doing

• Collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to create technical documentation for product features and functionality.
• Developing locally in markdown and pushing to a private documentation repository while also serving as a reviewer.
• Owning the authoring, review process, quality, and feedback loop for documentation areas assigned through Jira Sprints.
• Proofreading and copy editing documentation submitted by Dremio Product Group peers and other contributors.
• Collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to create courses in Dremio
  U that feature videos, reading, knowledge validation, and
  - on exercises.
• Building course content within Learn
  Worlds (Dremio’s Learning Management System).
• Owning the review process, quality, and feedback loop for other teams developing education in Dremio
  U.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, instructional designer, content developer, or similar roles.
• Experience writing technical documentation and educational content (courses, guides,
  - tos, etc. ).
• Familiarity with Git
  Hub (via CLI) to manage branches and push documentation updates.
• Familiarity with JIRA for request, task, and writing management.

Bonus points if you have

• Knowledge of Big Data, Cloud, and distributed systems.
• Instructional Design experience.
• SQL experience.
