About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Staff/Principal Data Engineer to join our Data Platform Group and support all data and analytics initiatives across Pleo. While embedded in the Data Platform Group, you’ll work directly with the VP of Data, contributing as a key member of the data leadership team. You'll collaborate extensively with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to ensure our data solutions directly drive product innovation and business outcomes. You’ll help shape the future of Pleo’s data landscape, supporting multiple teams, driving strategic projects, and staying

You’ll partner with engineers, analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders across the company to unlock the potential of data in driving Pleo’s mission forward.
The Data Platform Group
Our mission is to empower every Pleo’er to take
- inspired actions by providing a scalable, robust analytics infrastructure. In this role, you’ll extend our group’s influence by enabling teams across the business to deliver on complex data and analytics projects while ensuring alignment and collaboration. In this role, you'll serve as a bridge between the Data Platform Group and other teams, ensuring our data infrastructure evolves in lockstep with product development and business needs.

You will work on
- Partnering with product and business teams to develop data strategies that enable new features and improve user experience.
- Driving key strategic projects across the organisation, dipping in and out as needed to provide leadership and
- on support. - Supporting multiple teams across Pleo in delivering impactful data and analytics solutions.
- Building data products that directly support Pleo's product roadmap and business goals.
- Collaborating with the VP of Data and other data leaders to set the vision for Pleo’s data strategy and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Enhancing our data infrastructure and pipelines to improve scalability, performance, and data quality.
- Experimenting with and implementing innovative technologies to keep Pleo’s data stack at the forefront of the industry.
- Mentoring engineers, analysts, and data scientists to foster growth and build a
- class data team.
