Senior Software Engineer
Alter Solutions Portugal is an IT Consultancy Company, promoter of Digital Transformation, part of the Alter Solutions Group, created in 2006, in Paris.
In Portugal, we partner with over 120 clients and a team of over 500 people, working in projects for industries as diverse as banking, insurance, transportation, aviation, energy, and telecom.
Headquarters of the Nearshore IT center, Alter Solutions Portugal has a dedicated team of around 30 specialized professionals, integrated into projects with several internationally renowned clients.
Job Description
Develop and maintain software applications using mainly Java and another
- level classbased language.
Collaborate with
- functional teams to design and implement effective tests, including acceptance, functional, and unit tests.
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of distributed systems to automate onboarding and user management in an internal service with 10k+ monthly active users
- Administration of CI/CD pipelines that build, test and deploy services
- Designing and implementing
- consumed APIs - Contributing to existing codebases within our vast suite of compliance tools to add new functionality
- Triaging incidents and providing 2nd/3rd level support to users
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience developing enterprise applications in Java on top of Spring
Boot - Demonstrated experience in one or more scripting languages, preferably Python
- Experience engineering web applications in Go
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Git
Lab CI - Strong background in API design and testing, experience with Open
API 3. x a plus - Strong understanding of git version control, familiarity with Git Flow branching model a plus
- Ability to collaborate in a team following Kanban agile methodology
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
