Senior Software Engineer, Java - Provisioning

Squarespace is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Provisioning team in Dublin. You'll lead the development and optimization of backend services that power the purchasing and subscription experiences on our platform. You'll work on projects, collaborating with teams to lead seamless order management and provisioning for millions of users. You'll report to the Provisioning Team Manager.

You'll Get To…

• Lead the development and maintenance of backend services like the Order Service and Provisioning Service, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Build solutions for complex requirements, optimizing our purchasing and subscription workflows.
• Work with modern technologies including Java, Spring, Postgre
  SQL, and Kafka to deliver APIs and
  - driven services.
• Guide the technical direction of projects, making main architectural decisions and improving existing codebases.
• Mentor junior engineers, encouraging a culture of
  - sharing within the team.

Who We're Looking For…

• 4+ years of experience in backend development, with expertise in Java or similar
  - oriented programming languages.
• Strong background in designing scalable architectures, database management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring, and familiarity with
  - driven systems and messaging tools like Kafka.
• Proficiency in integrating backend services with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
