The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to steer the effort to scale and secure the infrastructure that powers Nitro products and services. Nitro SREs are part of the Systems Engineering team, which exists to maximize customer trust and engineering innovation.

What you'll be doing:

1. Working within a
   - knit engineering organization to architect, deliver, and improve technical solutions.
2. Defining and executing improvements to Nitro’s engineering infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline.
3. Solving problems relating to
   - critical services for build, test, and delivery automation.
4. Writing and reviewing software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Nitro cloud services.
5. Creating tools to deploy, provision, and observe infrastructure efficiently.
6. Defining, implementing, and discussing new designs, architectures, standards, and best practices for
   - scale distributed systems.
7. Sharing an
   - call rotation and being an escalation point for service incidents.

What we're looking for:

1. Experience operating at a senior level in an SRE team.
2. Highly communicative and collaborative approach to team interaction.
3. Experience with modern CI/CD architectures and best practices.
4. Comfortable in at least one programming language (Go, Python, Ruby).
5. Experience using containerization (Docker) and orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes).
6. Experience with Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services.
7. Experience with securing cloud platforms and approaching engineering with a
   - first mindset.
8. Versed on SRE best practices and operational excellence for Systems Engineering.
9. Experience with the three pillars of observability (logs, metrics, traces).
10. Passionate about infrastructure as code (Terraform).
