This is a Lisbon-based hybrid opportunity – work from home for 3 days per week.

As a Scala Developer, you will work for our client—a global IT leader driving innovation with
- edge solutions and services. You will be responsible for building and deploying
- performance backend services, leveraging Scala’s advanced libraries and infrastructure.

Your Main Responsibilities:

1. Develop applications meeting top standards of performance, availability, and security.
2. Design and implement clean, scalable public and internal APIs.
3. Take ownership of specific backend support components.
4. Collaborate on agile teams to continuously deploy automated procedures.

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

1. A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
2. At least 4 years of experience in Scala development.
3. Strong knowledge of Scala libraries and patterns like Zio, Akka, Shapeless, Monix.
4. Experience with infrastructure such as Kafka, Kubernetes, and microservices.
5. Fluency in English, strong
   - solving skills, and proactivity.
6. Familiarity with agile methodologies like Scrum and experience in writing unit and
   -
   - end platform integration tests.
