This role plays a critical part in assuring the quality and reliability of our software systems and applications. People in this role have a robust Computer Science background and demonstrated expertise in enhancing software quality.

What You Will Do

• Contribute to the design and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategies
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to identify test requirements
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests to validate the functionality of our software products
• Create comprehensive test plans and implement effective test strategies. Create test cases and test data based on functional and
  - functional requirements
• Identify, analyze, and document software defects, and track their resolution in an
  - tracking system
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvements
• Work closely with development teams to investigate and resolve issues ensuring the delivery of
  - quality software
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and test automation
• Liaise with the product team to understand product changes and steer quality initiatives
• Provide support during the deployment and maintenance stages of the software development life cycle
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance with an emphasis on automation testing
• Familiarity with
  - based testing environments, primarily AWS
• Expertise in test automation frameworks such as JEST or similar
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Playwright or similar
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Artillery or JMeter
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and database systems
• Solid grasp of version control systems like Git
• Comprehensive knowledge of software testing principles, techniques, and best practices
• Proven ability to quickly learn & adapt independently
• Excellent
  - solving skills & attention to detail
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with
  - functional teams
• Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located
• Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to thrive in a
  - paced,
  - driven environment
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and practices
• Experience with performance and security testing considered an asset
• Knowledge of financial or accounting software preferred
