ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Manager Technology Sourcing and Strategic Partnerships to join our Tech
Hub!
You will manage and direct the category for technology across the global footprint of HAVI Supply chain. This includes defining, aligning and executing the sourcing strategy for technology and enriching the associated relationships with the strategic
- system partners. The Governance of these key partners will form a cornerstone of this role ensuring value delivery and partnership growth.
You will work closely with the procurement function in GBS to collectively deliver an efficient and effective overall source to contract service within HAVI Supply Chain. This incumbent shall lead negotiations for all strategic contracts whilst always ensuring full compliance and due diligence.
You will be responsible for demand planning within the technology function whilst always ensuring full alignment to the Technology Strategy. This role is a senior leadership position, reporting directly to the Snr Dir: Technology Strategy, Planning and Governance. The role will require definition and enforcement of policy and process associated with category Management, including collaboration with business units and stakeholders who may be responsible for adherence to or execution for policy and process. Very close relationships will be managed with legal counsel, who will drive standardized contractual terms and will take ownership of contract administration/repository.
THE SKILLS
To set you up for success in this role, here are some key skills that will help you:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of Sourcing, Procurement, Vendor Management, or other related discipline preferably in a
- national firm. - Proven experience in successfully leading a team in the management of vendors/third parties, including, but not limited to, policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, contracts (including negotiations), and issue and dispute resolution.
- Strategic Negotiation and Influencing skills, experience of vendors with spend around $10m pa all the way to commodity procurement.
- Extensive experience in negotiating with global Consulting firms.
- Executive presence and comfort interacting with both internal and vendor senior leadership.
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate with internal clients and stakeholders.
- Communication of business concepts and needs in technology relevant terms as well as translation of technical concepts into business/nontechnical points.
- Relationship skills that will facilitate positive vendor behaviors, establish healthy new engagements and deepen existing ones.
- Strong
- solving ability with a focus on managing to business outcomes through collaboration with multiple internal and external parties. - Thorough understanding of commercial terms (warranties, intellectual property, indemnification) in technology agreements.
- Lead Process optimization efforts within the function to drive growth and efficiency.
- Experience driving change in an organization through
- building and communication, influence and leadership. - In-depth understanding of business strategy and ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
- Requires attention to detail, ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Problem determination and root cause analysis experience.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and is
- directed and
- motivated.
