Responsibilities:

1. Perform
   - level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration and implementation of various virtualization (VMware and Open
   Stack), compute (Cisco UCS), storage (SAN/NAS) and storage networking (Cisco MDS) technologies.
2. Build, manage and support – highly available, secure and scalable – production and lab infrastructure (compute and storage) in company’s global data centers.
3. Monitor production and lab environments, troubleshoot alerts & incidents, detect and fix infrastructure problems.
4. Working knowledge with Grafana, Prometheus, Syslog and other observability tools.
5. Research new compute, virtualization and storage technologies and make recommendations to improve availability, reliability and performance of these systems supporting company’s external facing applications.
6. Automate/script daily operational support tasks with Python and Ansible.
7. Understanding and Administration of Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu, Cent
   OS and Redhat).
8. Understanding of the IPv4 network Protocol.
9. Create/maintain documentation of the infrastructure and configurations (architecture diagrams, procedures, etc. ) and provide training to relevant staff (within and outside the immediate team).
10. Perform maintenance after hours and in change windows.
11. Participate in
    - call rotation as needed.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years building and managing infrastructure systems (Compute, virtualization, storage and storage networking), preferably on prem data centers.
2. Strong experience supporting mission critical 24x7 customer facing production environments.
3. Strong,
   - on experience in designing, deploying and managing Cisco UCS infrastructure (and Cisco/HP rackmount servers).
4. Strong experience in deploying and managing VMware (v
   Sphere, v
   Center, ESXi/ESX, etc. ) products and Open
   Stack KVM.
5. Strong experience of SAN (3PAR and PURE), NAS (Net
   App and PURE) environments including design, implementation and administration.
6. Strong experience in Cisco MDS SAN switches configuration and management.
7. Solid experience in scripting/automation using Ansible, Python programming languages, Power
   Shell is plus.
8. Linux experience a must.
9. Strong understanding of cloud (AWS, GCP) infrastructure highly desired.
10. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
11. BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
12. VMware and Cisco UCS certifications highly desired.
