The Role

At Pleo, our Senior Engineers play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence within teams. While working closely within the AI Enablement team, you’ll spend a good portion of your time coding and
- on
- solving, helping to sprinkle intelligence (through Large Language Models, Machine Learning, etc. ) to improve features and products across the Pleo platform. You will build technology that enables other product teams in the company to apply large language models to their problem spaces to better serve our customers.

As a Senior Engineer, you will also contribute by taking ownership of key projects and components, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a culture of collaboration. You’ll have a significant role in improving the scalability, performance, and robustness of our platform, and will collaborate closely with product teams to deliver impactful solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable
  - end services and APIs.
• Work closely with other product and data teams to integrate AI capabilities into our platform.
• Build and optimize robust data pipelines to support AI-driven features.
• Develop and improve the scalability, performance, and reliability of our
  - end infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, architect, and build new
  - facing features.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical roadmap planning.
• Ensure seamless integration between
  - end and
  - end systems and other components of the platform.

The
- gritty skills needed:

• 5+ years of experience building software in a product team.
• Strong expertise in
  - end technologies such as Node. js, Java, or Kotlin.
• Solid experience with relational databases such as Postgre
  SQL or My
  SQL.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Interest or experience in AI: Application of LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompting, and machine learning.
• Basic understanding of
  - end technologies and their interaction with
  - end systems (React, Java
  Script/Type
  Script preferred but not required).
