Senior Field Service Engineer Power Distribution
Eaton's Electrical Division is looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide
- class service and support for the Eaton installed base products within the area of Power Distribution.
With your experience within Power Distribution and Medium Voltage products such as switchgears, transformers, and relay protection, you ensure maximum customer satisfaction within new project execution as well as preventive maintenance works.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver installation and maintenance services for Eaton’s MV equipment and other existing MV electrical systems, ensuring compliance with Eaton’s safety standards. Lead and support other service engineers, serving as the primary contact for customers during installation projects.
- Create RAMS (risk assessments, method statements) including arrangements for high voltage, high current testing.
- Produce test plans for SAT (site acceptance testing) of MV systems based on switchgear specification, scheme drawings, standard tests, and relay settings.
- Relay commissioning and the creation of config files from exposure to a number of different manufacturers.
- MV witness SAT testing and carrying out customer demonstrations of Eaton equipment.
- Act as lead engineer and work within a team with an ambition to improve the quality of delivery and customer experience.
- Coach and develop new and existing engineers where required, with a desire to develop further in technical fields.
Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering or related Bachelor's diploma or equivalent experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in Field Service Engineering roles with relevant experience in Power Distribution.
Skills:
- Proficient in computer and IT, creating RAMS, and understanding MV distribution systems.
- Strong safety culture, confident with LOTO systems.
- Skilled in producing SAT test plans, interpreting electrical drawings, and performing various primary plant tests.
- Equipment Proficiency: Competent with commissioning test equipment and advanced commissioning tasks.
- Effective in handling breakdowns and
- outs. - Excellent file management skills.
- Knowledgeable in various relay testing functions.
- Willing to work across EMEA and travel as needed.
- Fluent in English.
