Position Overview

We are looking for a talented Senior Dev
Ops Engineer with a focus on Cloud, networking and PKI infrastructure to join our Technology Department.

We are open to hiring this role in Lisbon, Portugal, or Berlin, Germany.

As a Dev
Ops Engineer, you will design, deploy, and manage our IP network infrastructure, including VPN solutions and PKI. You will plan and create the vision for our infrastructure architecture, focusing on scale, reliability, and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include maintaining optimal observability on systems and applications, ensuring high levels of security and scalability, and automating routine tasks. You will perform regular maintenance and system monitoring, roll out software patches and upgrades, and investigate issues to their root cause. High standards for documentation of designs and systems are expected.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage our IP network infrastructure, including VPN solutions and PKI.
• Plan and create the vision for our infrastructure architecture, focusing on scale, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain optimal observability on the systems and applications' availability and performance (logs, metrics, alerts).
• Attain optimal levels of security and scalability for our infrastructure.
• Automate all routine work (toil), eliminating human intervention from repetitive mechanical activity.
• Perform regular maintenance and
  - keeping, verifying the integrity and availability of all network resources, systems, and processes.
• Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all IP network infrastructure.
• Rollout software patches and upgrades, ensuring the infrastructure is kept secure and compliant with best practices.
• Investigate issues to their root cause and resolution.
• Set high standards for documentation of designs and systems.

Requirements

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years as a Dev
  Ops Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and others.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, load balancing, proxy servers, and network routing.
• Experience with configuring and managing VPN solutions (IPsec, SSL VPNs) for secure connectivity.
• Familiarity with firewall configuration, IP network security, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Experience with setting up and managing PKI, including knowledge of encryption standards and protocols (TLS/SSL, RSA, ECC) and how they are applied within PKI.
• Deep knowledge of security best practices and methodologies.
• Proficiency in managing Linux servers, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Packer.
