Senior Data Engineer - Machine Learning & AI Implementation

About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, your typical day will include consultations with colleagues in the business who are seeking solutions to data challenges and to understand their requirements. Your overall focus will be to improve the availability and quality of existing data and to create a
- quality architecture as a basis for the sustainable implementation of AI use cases. You will coordinate with data engineers, data scientists, central functions, and external partners. You will code, consult, and give advice during this process. Your role also includes business trips to understand and support local processes.

A Snapshot of Your Day:

1. Work in an interdisciplinary team with data engineers, scientists, and business professionals to foster a
   - driven company culture and implement machine learning and AI use cases.
2. Support and consult business professionals in use case refinements to identify promising use cases with high business impact.
3. Collection, maintenance, preparation, enrichment, validation, and distribution of data.
4. Mentor staff in data acquisition techniques and ensure proper data collection/storage for administrative processes and
   - site.
5. Plan and create a suitable system infrastructure for applications for analysis.
6. Design and configure robust data sets and databases.
7. Maintain and develop existing data infrastructure.
8. Support conception and provision of a system architecture.
9. Build up deep knowledge with Snowflake model.

What You Bring

Must Have:

1. University degree in computer or data science or related field.
2. Proven track record and/or several years of experience in data acquisition techniques.
3. Deep knowledge of Snowflake SQL Scripting, Alteryx, Snap
   Logic.
4. Experience in Dev
   Ops and familiarity with Git
   Lab for CI/CD.
5. Deep knowledge in building
   -
   - end data pipelines.
6. Experience in data migration.
7. Project management skills and an agile approach.
8. Highly motivated, proactive, and
   - directed.
9. Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
10. Willingness to travel with a focus on central Europe (~30%).
11. Very good English skills.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with MS Power Automate.
2. Experience in building data ingestion pipelines using AWS, Azure data services.
3. Experience and interest in data science and data analytics.
4. Experience and interest in machine learning and AI.
5. German language skills.
