This is a hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity – 2x in the office.

As a Cobol Developer for our client, you’ll be at the forefront of data solutions, crafting applications on
- edge platforms. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Mainframe applications to ensure their functionality, reliability, and efficiency within the system.

Your main responsibilities:

1. Analyze and address incidents within the RUN environment, determining remediation plans and communicating progress and challenges effectively.
2. Participate in application design and development for enhancements within the scope of the project, primarily focusing on Basel IV requirements.
3. Conduct application design, development, and unit testing, and provide support during testing phases and production deployment, ensuring adherence to client’s methodology and standards.
4. Collaborate with IT teams within the Tribe and DSI to ensure seamless execution of tasks and alignment with project objectives.
5. Provide timely and accurate technical documentation including application design documents, unit test cases, integration test reports, and technical architecture documents.

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

1. 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development, particularly in Cobol/MVS (BATCH) environment, with DB2 knowledge.
2. Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying purposes.
3. Familiarity with Agile methodologies for project management and development processes.
4. Strong analytical and
   - solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
5. Fluency in French.
