Responsibilities
We are looking for talented Senior Civil Engineers - Wet Utilities to join us either in Lisbon or Porto, Portugal. This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, developing hydraulic designs for various projects.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Preparing and reviewing hydraulic network designs for potable water, irrigation, firefighting, sanitary, stormwater, and flood.
- Preparing and/or reviewing design hydraulic models for different hydraulic networks.
- Ensuring all calculations comply with Authority Standards and Codes of Practice.
- Coaching junior staff within this discipline.
- Providing technical guidance to CAD/BIM Technicians to produce drawings and models.
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, design drawings, and other deliverables.
- Leading the discipline’s team.
- Monitoring the technical quality of projects to ensure high standards.
- Coordinating with other disciplines for integrated design.
- Liaising with Clients and Authorities for design approvals.
- Providing discipline input for technical proposals for external submissions.
Qualifications
To be successful, you should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and over 10 years of experience in a similar position. A membership in a professional institution is desirable.
Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
- Proven experience in the design of hydraulic infrastructures.
- Experience with hydraulic design software such as EPANET, SWMM, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Auto
CAD and MS Office. - Knowledge in BIM and Auto
CAD Civil 3D is an advantage. - Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
