Founded in 2007, Akuo is an independent renewable energy producer with operations in over twenty countries worldwide. The Group is committed to the entire value chain: project development, project finance, construction, and operation of solar, wind, and storage power plants.

- scale floating solar power plants in France.

In Portugal, Akuo secured a 450 MWp solar portfolio at the 2019 national auction. This portfolio is composed of 3 projects all located in Alentejo. 180 MWp are already in operation and the remaining is under construction.

In parallel, Akuo Renováveis Portugal is developing projects to increase its portfolio, namely for the Over-equipment and Hybridization (including wind and storage) of the 3 solar parks, and also by exploring Agri-Energy opportunities.

We are looking for a Senior Business Developer to join us on an 18-month mission, driven by the latest key milestones and increased project activity, to help materialize Akuo’s secured pipeline in Portugal.

You will be part of the Business Development team and you will work closely with the Development team.

You will drive the promotion and business development of our portfolio and contribute to delivering one of the biggest Renewable Asset portfolios under development in Portugal.

Specific Tasks and Deliverables:

• Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement public affairs strategies to support the pipeline development.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain Akuo’s relationships with all the stakeholders involved in the project.
• Public Speaking and Representation: Represent Akuo in public forums, with governmental bodies, delivering presentations.
• Policy Analysis and recommendations.
• Review and comment on the due diligence reports.
• Participate in the updates of the business plans of the projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience, preferably with a track record as Business Developer, Developer, or equivalent.
• You have already studied/worked within an international environment and you have a strong interest in the Renewable Energy sector.
• You are characterized by a systematic, analytical approach and goal orientation.
• You have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• You are proactive, adaptable, and
  - driven.
• You are open to the idea of regular business trips.
