We are looking for an Senior Azure Fabric Cloud and Data Architect to join us in a challenging project in Lisbon (hybrid model, 3 days
- site).

Responsibilities:

1. Azure Service Fabric & Cloud Architecture
2. Design and maintain Azure Service Fabric clusters for hosting microservices and stateful/stateless applications.
3. Oversee
   -
   - end architecture of Azure-based solutions, including compute, networking, security, and storage.
4. Develop best practices for high availability, scalability, and performance in a
   - tenant,
   - native environment.
5. Data Architecture & Strategy
6. Architect and implement robust data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
7. Define and manage data governance policies, ensuring security, data quality, and compliance with relevant regulations (DORA, GDPR, HIPAA, etc. ).
8. Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to create efficient data pipelines that support advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning workloads.
9. Infrastructure as Code & Automation
10. Develop Infrastructure as Code (Ia
    C) templates using tools like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or Bicep for consistent, automated deployments.
11. Implement Dev
    Ops best practices (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging) to streamline release cycles and improve operational efficiency.
12. Security & Compliance
13. Work with security teams to design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and threat protection on Azure.
14. Continuously assess and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
15. Establish policies for data privacy, retention, and disaster recovery, aligning with business continuity plans.
16. Performance Optimization & Cost Management
17. Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and
    - effectiveness, leveraging Azure-native tools and
    - party solutions.
18. Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for database systems, analytics platforms, and microservices.
19. Provide recommendations on resource allocation, scaling strategies, and potential
    - saving measures.
20. Collaboration & Leadership
21. Work closely with
    - functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and project roadmaps.
22. Mentor and guide junior architects, engineers, and developers on Azure best practices, tooling, and emerging technologies.
23. Present architectural recommendations,
    -
    - concepts, and technology roadmaps to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• More than 5 years of experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Service Fabric and/or microservices architecture.
• Proven expertise in Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, container orchestration, and
  - driven architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep) and Dev
  Ops workflows (CI/CD, version control).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure (Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities).
• Familiarity with relational (SQL, Postgre
  SQL) and No
  SQL databases (Cosmos DB).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and
  - solving skills.
• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Dev
  Ops Engineer Expert, or Azure Data Engineer Associate (nice to have)
• Hands-on experience with other cloud services (Oracle
  C Cloud, GCP, AWS) for hybrid/multi-cloud strategies (nice to have).
• Exposure to big data processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop) and machine learning solutions (nice to have).
• Knowledge of agile project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) - (nice to have).
• Fluent in Portuguese and intermediate level of english (mandatory).
