Senior Azure Fabric Cloud and Data Architect

We are looking for an Senior Azure Fabric Cloud and Data Architect to join us in a challenging project in Lisbon (hybrid model, 3 days
- site).
Responsibilities:
- Azure Service Fabric & Cloud Architecture
- Design and maintain Azure Service Fabric clusters for hosting microservices and stateful/stateless applications.
- Oversee

- end architecture of Azure-based solutions, including compute, networking, security, and storage. - Develop best practices for high availability, scalability, and performance in a
- tenant,
- native environment. - Data Architecture & Strategy
- Architect and implement robust data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Define and manage data governance policies, ensuring security, data quality, and compliance with relevant regulations (DORA, GDPR, HIPAA, etc. ).
- Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to create efficient data pipelines that support advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning workloads.
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C) templates using tools like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or Bicep for consistent, automated deployments. - Implement Dev
Ops best practices (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging) to streamline release cycles and improve operational efficiency. - Security & Compliance
- Work with security teams to design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and threat protection on Azure.
- Continuously assess and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Establish policies for data privacy, retention, and disaster recovery, aligning with business continuity plans.
- Performance Optimization & Cost Management
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and
- effectiveness, leveraging Azure-native tools and
- party solutions. - Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for database systems, analytics platforms, and microservices.
- Provide recommendations on resource allocation, scaling strategies, and potential
- saving measures. - Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with
- functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and project roadmaps. - Mentor and guide junior architects, engineers, and developers on Azure best practices, tooling, and emerging technologies.
- Present architectural recommendations,

- concepts, and technology roadmaps to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- More than 5 years of experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Service Fabric and/or microservices architecture.
- Proven expertise in Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, container orchestration, and
- driven architectures. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep) and Dev
Ops workflows (CI/CD, version control). - Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure (Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities).
- Familiarity with relational (SQL, Postgre
SQL) and No
SQL databases (Cosmos DB). - Excellent communication, leadership, and
- solving skills. - Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Dev
Ops Engineer Expert, or Azure Data Engineer Associate (nice to have) - Hands-on experience with other cloud services (Oracle
C Cloud, GCP, AWS) for hybrid/multi-cloud strategies (nice to have). - Exposure to big data processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop) and machine learning solutions (nice to have).
- Knowledge of agile project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) - (nice to have).
- Fluent in Portuguese and intermediate level of english (mandatory).
