Payroll Lead – SAP HCM (Portuguese Payroll)Freelance Contract - 12 months €750 per day
Remote/Hybrid | Full-time
Language Requirement: Portuguese
Must have SAP Experience in Portuguese Payroll and / or Spanish Payroll. Our client is seeking a highly skilled SAP HCM Payroll Lead to join their HR Service Delivery team, supporting payroll operations for Portuguese accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in SAP HCM & Payroll configuration to lead and optimize payroll processes. Key Responsibilities:Configure and implement SAP HCM Payroll solutions that align with business needs
Perform SAP Payroll configuration, including schemas, PCRs, wage type creation, and basic pay settings
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll development, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
Ensure accurate execution of payroll processes for multiple pay groups
Maintain data integrity in time and attendance systems
Participate in
- functional SAP HR projects to enhance service delivery
Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues efficiently while updating ticket logging systems
Qualifications & Skills:Proven experience in SAP HCM for Portuguese Payroll (Spanish Payroll experience is a plus)Strong expertise in wage type generation rules and shift differential calculations
Advanced knowledge of SAP configuration, HR modules, and payroll evaluation schemas
Excellent analytical,
- making, and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Strong communication skills—able to convey complex information clearly to all levels of management
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under pressure
Willingness to travel as required
Additional Information:Applicants must have a valid EU work permit
Native Portuguese speaker with a good level of spoken and written English
