About the role

We are on the lookout for a Remote Russian LQA - Game Tester on a freelance basis. As a Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team and be the first person to see the localized game in its entirety – translated text, images, and the rest of the user interface collectively. You will experience the project as the end users will. You will work in a multilingual project team ensuring that the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and ultimately ensuring accurate localization into the target language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a global project team.
• Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
• Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
• Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
• Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
• Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
• Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation.
• Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.

Our Localization QA team performs language checks on a range of
-
-
- released games for various platforms including PC, Xbox One, PS5, Wii, PS Vita, DS, Switch, VR, and various mobile and tablet devices. As an LQA Game Tester, you would be working on top gaming titles for some of the world's leading publishers.

Requirements

• Fluency in Russian and English.
• Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.
• Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.
• Robust Internet research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
• You must be able to provide evidence of your right to work in Portugal. If you are located outside Portugal, a freelance contract will be applied.

Working Condition:

• You will be required to work a minimum of 4 hours between 8:00 to 17:00, Mondays through Fridays (Portugal Time Zone).

We are also open to offering a
- time position to multilingual candidates (Russian and other languages). This role requires onsite work at our studio in Braga, Portugal.
