We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join one of the OLX teams. Open to a Full Remote setup, you currently need to be residing in Portugal.

About the job

As an engineer in our team, you'll be reporting to one of our Engineering Managers and collaborating closely with other engineers and SREs, product team, data analysts, and an engineering manager while building one of the newest distributed systems we have in the company. Our systems are built with Golang or Kotlin and they run on AWS.

You Will:

1. Contribute technically to projects and take part in the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
2. Be part of a team and establish credibility with the quality of your own and your team's technical execution.
3. Encourage the team to innovate, invent, implement and deploy complex software solutions.
4. Ask questions, brainstorm and own the product we are building.
5. Work closely with the product management team to ensure we're building the best products for our users.

You Have:

1. Worked well in
   - functional teams.
2. Believe in
   - aligned teams and the 'you build it, you run it' philosophy.
3. Passion for architecting, building, and scaling
   - based systems, serving millions of users.
4. Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
5. 3+ years of experience with Golang.
