Job Advertisement: Network Planning & Optimization Consultant (Contract - 3 Months Extendable)
Location: Lisbon, Hybrid (2-3 Days at the office)

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Planning & Optimization Consultant to join a dynamic telecommunications team in Lisbon. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the overall network performance for our customers, leveraging expertise across multiple mobile network generations, from 2G to 5G.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform network planning and optimization activities across all mobile network generations (2G to 5G).
- Conduct Drive
Test processing, analysis, and reporting using tools such as TEMS Discovery, including

- end logs analysis and optimization. - Execute initial tuning and
- site optimization activities for all technologies. - Lead cluster tuning and optimization to meet target KPIs.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key network performance indicators (KPIs).
- Benchmark network performance and recommend optimization strategies.
- Map KPIs and parameters for
- vendor projects, ensuring consistency. - Identify and correct parameter inconsistencies in databases.
- Foster
- sharing through team workshops and best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or similar field.
- Strong background in communications theory, RF basics, and wireless technologies like NB-Io
T, Vo
LTE, WCDMA, and GSM. - Proven experience with legacy technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G) and understanding of E2E network features.
- In-depth knowledge of 5G NR networks, 3GPP specifications, and RAN optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with RAN KPIs, counters, and optimization parameters.
- Experience in mobile network lifecycle processes, including modernization, swap, and rollout.
- Hands-on experience in performance management, RF optimization, and capacity planning (specifically in LTE and 5G).
- Proficiency in network planning and optimization tools (ATOLL, TEMS Discovery, U2000, Performance Manager).
- At least 9 years of experience in the industry.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (B2 level) is mandatory.
- Mandatory experience with Ericsson and Nokia vendors.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of Open-RAN protocols.
- Experience with BI, Data Processing, SQL, and scripting (e. g. , Python).
- French or Spanish language skills.
Top 5 Skills Required:
- Deep expertise in Drive-Test procedures from planning to analysis.
- Proven track record in cluster tuning and optimization to achieve target KPIs.
- Strong knowledge of Ericsson and Nokia vendor systems.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English.
