Drive Systems is currently looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Quality representative in the production shopfloor
2. Proceed in accordance with the audit requirements of the control plans
3. Proceed with first and last part approval according to the control plans
4. Perform daily defects review of FTQ and inform Quality Engineer and Engineering for new failure modes or abnormal quantity of failures
5. Perform daily review of scrap and inform Quality Engineer and Engineering for new failure modes or abnormal quantity of failures
6. Evaluate and decide the doubts that arise in the production process, in line with engineering requirements
7. Identify and inform Quality Engineer about any
   - conforming or suspicion products or raw materials, in order to prevent their improper shipment
8. Engage supplier quality to proceed with the incoming inspection, when defect found on raw materials in accordance with internal procedures
9. Maintenance of the containment area (on-hold)
10. Issue or assure control charts are properly filled out according to the respective capability studies
11. Assess the suitability of measurement systems (MSA) in accordance with the procedures
12. Keep the Quality criteria’s updated
13. Carry out checks (audits) to the process, compile and issue the verification results
14. Support engineering during equipment validation carrying out of capability studies and MSA
15. Support the carrying out of studies related to quality issues
16. Execution of Containment Plans
17. Correctly apply the handling and storage of chemical substances
18. Apply and correctly enforce the collection and storage of waste
19. Carry out the 5's of the area under quality activities responsibility
20. Comply with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene and environmental prevention standards
21. Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule
22. Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
23. Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
24. Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service

Education & Experience

1. Secondary education in a related technical area
2. Interpersonal Communication
