The QA Engineer will contribute to our test activity and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software in an agile manner.

His/her main missions are:

• Test Planning and Design:
  • Develop, document and maintain test plans and test cases.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
• Testing Execution:
  • Perform manual testing for each new delivered IDS version to identify defects and ensure software meets requirements.
  • Conduct performance testing for some features of the software.
• Identify and track defects using Jira.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Create detailed test reports and metrics to communicate test results and quality status.
  • Alert potential risks and propose improvement solutions.

He/she will work in the following technical environment: Cloud /AWS, KAFKA, Talend, Amazon Redshift Database, Linux, Protocol FIX/SBE for markets messages processing. The following technical tools will be at his/her disposal: Jenkins, Git, Jira, DBeaver, Pandas and internal testing tools.

• Key Accountabilities:
  
  This role is a high profile and exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive experienced QA Engineer to be at the heart of data testing activity. The role of the QA Engineer is to deliver software versions without issues and to ensure better coverage. This includes the following responsibilities:
  • Conduct specification reviews to identify issues earlier in the project life cycle.
  • Write functional test cases under TC Repository testing tool (XRAY).
  • Test and validate new features manually.
  • Collaborate in agile mode with the Developer, Business Analyst, and Project Manager to ensure adherence to QA Integration, Pre-Production, and Production deadlines.
  • Write QA reports and Test Plans.
  • Support the business team and investigate Production incidents.
  • Ensure the quality of the delivered software versions.
  • Adhere to QA best practices (clear description of test cases, clear reports, and bugs/incidents analysis).
  • Contribute to the creation of the QA Team Wiki.

Education & Knowledge:

• Fluent in written and verbal English. Fluency in French is a plus.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in test automation and big data cloud application testing.
• Proficiency with test management tools (XRAY, JIRA, SQL client).
