QA Engineer
Responsibilities
About the role?
Reporting to the Senior Quality Assurance Manager, the QA Engineer will create and execute test cases to ensure the software products meet design specifications and product quality standards. The QA Engineer will test
- on and follow established QA methodologies as well as being involved in other QA and project related activities.
This position requires a highly motivated individual that is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and a fluid environment. The successful candidate should be
- oriented, approachable, dependable, and reliable with good business sense and judgment.
What you'll do:
- Participate in the testing activities of the software to ensure the highest level of quality.
- Create and update comprehensive test plans that outline the testing strategy, scope, approach, and resources required.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively affect existing functionalities.
- Identify and report defects, work with development team to ensure defects are resolved, and verify fixes.
- Provide project and resource estimates required for the quality assurance effort of assigned projects.
- Work with other project team members to understand project requirements.
- Establish cooperative relationships to work efficiently with
- workers, and participate as a member of a Quality Assurance team - Contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
What you'll need:
- 1-3 years working as a QA software professional
- Experience in testing web applications, including UI/UX and functionality.
- Experience using SQL Server and writing SQL queries.
- Experience with scripting or programming language(s) such as Java
Script, C#, Java and Python. - Experience in testing
- side components, including APIs and databases. - Experience with tools like Postman, REST-Assured, JMeter or similar for testing APIs.
- ISTQB Certification
Nice to have:
- Experience with Mainframe testing, i. e. COBOL, JCL language
- Experience with accessibility testing
- Experience with test automation
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
